Briefs

When working with the creative team, you must first complete one of the following briefs.

Gold

Gold briefs are reserved for the biggest of jobs such as campaign big ideas. Before completing a gold brief, you must first create brand truths and a single-minded proposition.

Silver

This brief is used when writers and designers must work together on the same job e.g., interactive content, direct mail and the first piece of content in a new campaign.

Bronze

Bronze briefs are used for daily copy/content/design jobs that are part of an on-going campaign.

Amends

When a piece of copy/content/design requires a change, you first need to complete this brief.

A billing plan needs to be added to each monthly phase. This guide will show you how the value of the plan is split between phase types – e.g., Agency Fee, Bought In, Data, Media & Telemarketing. The instructions will also show you how to manage campaign purchase and expenses, and how to convert an opportunity into a Live job.

All jobs must be built from a plan as an opportunity first, ready for when the client signs the contract and supplies a PO (only at this point does a job become live). This guide will explain how to build an opportunity and how the “client facing budget” is what we use to build the billing plan. The “budget model” is what we use to build our estimates.

Converting an opportunity to ‘live’ In this guide we’ll explain how after completing an opportunity, we need a contract in place before we can make the job live in Synergist. When we are ready to convert a job to ‘live’ we can do this by selecting Live from the drop-down menu.

If we don’t invoice clients, we don’t make money. So, this guide will explain that at the beginning of each month, we need to raise all our invoices that need to be billed. Ensuring we have a PO to cover the billable amount, we simply go into our billing plan, and select all the lines we want to invoice. Easy yet vitally important.

When we have an expense to raise against a job (i.e., a cost to a supplier), we will need to ensure we are raising the cost against the correct phase - this will show us which revenue the cost is going against. This guide explains clearly how to raise POs and complete each purchase.
